NICKEL TO DEFENCE STANDARD 03-27/1 BS EN 12540 BS 3382 PT. 3&4

  • WATTS DULL – Soft ductile deposit. Can be mechanically polished bright or a pleasing satin finish. Also suitable for building up worn parts. Should be Chromium plated for best corrosion resistance.
  • BRIGHT – High reflective and decorative finishes. Best on polished base metal. Will give reasonable brightness on unpolished good quality base metal. Will remain bright for about 9-12 months but is better with chromium deposit which will give long lasting appearence and corrosion resistance.
  • DUPLEX – Dull and bright Nickel deposits. Used together with their differing sulphur contents, give improved corrosion resistance particularly with chromium. Generally thicker than single plate layers.
